The #1 question we are always asked in our scheduled meetings with our clients, is how does your process work. This is only a brief description of how it all comes together, but it will give you a starting point until we get to speak in person. Great things come to those who prepare, and we’ll be with you and ready every step of the way. Congratulations on your wedding day. You’re worth it.

Details Matter A lot

We focus on creating the experience that is just right for you.

Everything that looks simple, comes from an extreme effort of practice, and experience. It should be no different for your wedding day. We start with finding out everything that makes you “YOU” with meetings, questionnaires, follow-ups, inspiration boards, etc. OUTCOME: We adapt to your style, creating the wedding day you always envisioned. If you’re not sure what that should be,  we’ll be here every step of the journey. 13 years, and 1500 weddings makes a BIG difference.

Every Step of the Way

It’s not just about your wedding day, but the entire experience.

Whether you are getting married 1 month or two years from now, we will be with you the entire way. Once you secure your date with us, we will supply you with guides, best practices, set up your engagements, bridals, interviews, production meetings, etc. We will help in every stage you need us, from vendor recommendations, starting ceremony times, family shot list. OUTCOME: You can lean on us for our years of experience, and expertise in the business.

Engagements, Bridals, Couple Interviews

Getting some time together before your wedding day!

Once secured, we take a look at everything that needs to be done before your wedding day! We always recommend having engagements, bridals, and couple interviews for many reasons. #1 It gives us a chance to work together before your wedding day and will give you more confidence and trust in our relationship with you! #2 It allows you to see your posing style with us! If you want small changes to what you see, this is a great time to review and settle in for your wedding day! #3 It’s a great legacy product to have when you are older! Looking back on these moments will always be something to enjoy!

The Rehearsal Dinner

The Number #1 event you should add to your services.

We’ve started talking a lot more about this with our clients, and will definitely reach out to you as well. We would 100% recommend you adding this with our video services. It is such a great moment with family friends. It’s more laid back, more vulnerable, and almost always you will have tons of toasts from more family members and friends that you will wish you had down the road. The wedding day is a very scheduled event, and normally there are only a couple of toasts from each side, and the rehearsal dinner gives you the opportunity to hear from your immediate family and closest friends. It’s a big deal, and worth it for sure. Except to hear from us about this day.

The Production Meeting

Setting your mind at ease for the big day.

Every one of our wedding events will come with a full production meeting, usually by Zoom, and is so beneficial to putting your mind at ease. During this meeting we will review your entire timeline of the day, along with our questionnaire. answering any additional questions, making any last minute adjustments,  to ensure that you are fully confident about how your wedding day will be captured. It makes a huge difference on your wedding day, knowing everything has been discussed, and allows you to be confident and trusting, so you can be “in the moment” your wedding day!

Wedding Day - Arrival, Dress, and Set Up

It’s time for the big day to begin.

No matter the event, we will always arrive 30 minutes early to set up, and you are never charged for this time. The team will have one more quick review of the day while getting everything ready. – Flashes, Lighting, Sound, will all be ready for any situation. Gear will be neatly placed and not cause distraction to any part of your wedding setup. We will always dress, business professional, and communicate respectfully with all other vendors that you have hired for the day, working in a spirit of cooperation. We are also able to start at multiple locations at one time if needed, and you are never charged for this service as well! 

Wedding Day - Primary vs. Secondary talent

The method to our madness.

For all major events, we will always have 2 photographers and/or 2 videographers on your wedding day. We made this decision a long time ago, realizing it is just not possible to tell a complete story with one. It can be done, but sacrifices will always be made, so we decide that was not for us. Your Primary talent will run the day and is usually focused with the most important perspectives of the day. They will also be who runs your production meetings, email follow ups, etc. They will have 200+ weddings under their belt, and their average time with PHF is over 5 years. Your Secondary talent is every bit as capable, and will focus on all of the secondary assignments from DIY’s, details, perspectives, etc. All coming together for the major coverages ( Ceremony, First Dances, Toast, Cake Cutting, etc) to make sure a complete story is being told!

Wedding Day - Getting Ready

We’re going to focus on all the moments that matter.

Our teams divide up to capture everything from your outfits, to flat lay’s, robe shots, putting on your dress, tux, suit, you name it. But that’s the easy part. The real magic, is what we capture while you’re not looking. The other stories being told that day. Your parents, grandparents, best friends, all celebrating for you. This day will move so fast and so scheduled that knowing you didn’t just get the “highlights” of the day, but the entire story of your wedding, is going to blow your mind, and one of the many reasons you are going to be glad you hired us. 

Wedding Day - The Ceremony

We will never be in the way of your family when something this important is happening.

In any great story told through the cinematic lens, there are 3 distinct traits that matter. Image quality, lighting, and sound. If you don’t have all of these in a professional capacity, your photographs and films can suffer. PHF always travels with a minimum of 4 cameras, remote & temperature controlled lighting, and 4+ sources of audio so that we always have backup in every situation. BUT, it will be almost invisible to you. We will never disrupt your ceremony or draw attention to ourselves for the sake of a shot. We can easily capture all moments, with emotional and documentary feeling, without ever causing disruption to the ceremony act itself. Think if us as wedding Ninja’s throughout your day!

Wedding Day - Family & Couple Portraits

Crunch time so you can enjoy the party! 

We always tell our clients, this is where the most time can be lost, if there is not a clear and defined plan. We are usually focused on family, the bridal party, and couple portraits. All the while trying to get you to your amazing reception as soon as possible. Our big suggestion is to make sure you have a shot list spelled out by the name of each grouping you want. We have a few built-in shot lists in our questionnaire but always recommend a more detailed one is created. This is all about great family photos as fast as possible, and we want to make sure everyone is sticking around to get this knocked out. We have this down to a science, and look forward to sharing with you our PHF best practices for your entire wedding day! Once we start couple portraits, we’re home free. This is such a fun time, giving you a bit of time to just be together and capturing the unique and authentic you. It’s one of our favorite times of the wedding day!

Wedding Day - Cocktail Hour

We love capturing these moments for you.

Remember when we mentioned that we also have two talents at your wedding day? This is another reason why. While the Primaries are busy capturing your portraits, our secondaries are setting up for the reception, but always spending some time with family and friends during the cocktail hour so you don’t miss any of the moments of your wedding day! We have you covered all the way!

Wedding Day - The Reception

Let the Party Begin!

From here we settle in to capturing all of the major events from at least two perspectives (cameras) of your grand entrance, first dances, toasts, cake cutting, bouquet toss, and of course all of the dancing that will occur all the way through your send off! This is also where state-of-the-art lighting (used sparingly) and audio (for toasts) if you have hired us for video come into play! We also do our best to capture as many faces from the evening whether they are dancing or not. We know everyone in the room means something to you, and we are definitely aware of this! 

Deliverables

It starts with back up, back up, back up.

Once the wedding is over, that same evening we will back up all media to local servers in different locations along with a full backup into our Cloud servers for triple backup! Depending on the packages you have chosen, you could see products as early as one to two weeks (photography) and most of our products are delivered within 3 to 4 weeks at the lastest! (videography) We hold all of our final product for over a year, giving you plenty of time to get everything downloaded and secured on your end as well! All of our weddings are delivered in easy to use galleries that may be shared with anyone of your choosing at no additional cost.

We are so much more than just a wedding company.

It is hard to believe we have captured over 1500 couples and the start of their journey together over the past 13 years. We hope that this is just the beginning of our journey together, and just know, we will be here for all of your life’s greatest moments if you would like us to!
