Alyssa and Garrett’s Love Story graces Barr Mansion
Alyssa’s love story with Garrett began with a swipe that almost never happened. Tired of online dating, she was ready to delete the app when a friend encouraged her to match with Garrett. Little did she know, that digital connection would change her life.
Their love story blossomed during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, finding strength in each other’s company as they navigated lockdowns and adapted to remote work and online learning. They have gone through so much since then, overcoming long distance by constant communication and planning trips together. It’s also because of this that they knew just how much they mean to each other. Sure, LDR is hard, but they definitely proved that it’s worth it when it’s for the right person.
The proposal happened on the last day of their trip in the Dominican Republic. With a breathtaking balcony view, Garrett surprised Alyssa before dinner. Returning from what seemed like a casual trip to the bathroom, He got down on one knee, presenting a ring. Overwhelmed with joy, Alyssa, amidst tears, happily said “yes.”
