Mae’s Ridge brings crisp contemporary design, sweeping ridge views, and light-filled event spaces together in one setting made for a stylish wedding day.
MAE'S RIDGE, THROUGH OUR LENS
There are venues we work at, and then there are venues that become part of our history.
I still remember some of our earliest weddings there. We were the first video company to film a ceremony overlooking the hills, and I remember flying the drone during a couple’s portrait session and thinking about how incredible it was to have a setting like that to work with.
Those moments have stayed with me.
Over the years, we’ve watched Mae’s Ridge grow and change, and we’ve been fortunate enough to keep coming back with our cameras. We’ve seen new spaces take shape, including the new bridal suite, and watched the property continue to evolve.
For us, that evolution has been exciting to document.
But what makes Mae’s Ridge special to me has never been just the property.
It’s Joell and Rick.
I’ve always loved seeing them at the weddings we film. They’re present, they care about what’s happening, and they make you feel genuinely welcome. Over the years, we’ve shared wedding weekends, conversations, ideas, and plenty of memories. They’ve also trusted us to help show people what makes Mae’s Ridge special.
Every time we come back, there is something new to notice. But we also know the property well enough that we can spend less time figuring things out and more time paying attention to what’s happening around us.
When I think about Mae’s Ridge, I don’t just think about the weddings we’ve filmed there. I think about how much the place has changed, how many times we’ve come back, and the people we’ve gotten to know along the way.
We’re grateful for the way Joell and Rick have always welcomed us back and trusted our work, and for every wedding we’ve shared with them over the years.
If Mae’s Ridge is on your list, go see it. Meet Joell and Rick, walk the property, and you’ll understand why we’ve loved coming back for all these years, whether or not you ever call us.

A photograph holds what the day looked like. It cannot hold your father's voice breaking halfway through the toast, or the fifteen seconds before the doors opened when nobody was talking yet.
