Villa Antonia brings Mediterranean-inspired architecture, sweeping Hill Country views, and distinctive indoor and outdoor spaces together in one setting made for a wedding day.
VILLA ANTONIA, THROUGH OUR LENS
Villa Antonia has become one of those places for us.
We have photographed and filmed weddings here for years, worked alongside different members of the team, been part of their open houses and events, and watched Villa Antonia continue to grow and evolve into what it is today.
Somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like a venue we worked at and started feeling a little more like home.
That comes from the people.
Amy has spent decades in the Austin wedding industry, and that experience shows in the way she runs Villa Antonia. She knows the property, she knows weddings, and she understands something that takes years in this business to learn: the best wedding days are usually the ones where somebody solved the problem before the couple ever knew there was one.
Her team works the same way.
There is a difference between a venue that gives vendors a set of rules and a venue that actually works with them. Villa Antonia has always been the second kind for us. Their team communicates, makes sure the right people have access to the right spaces at the right time, thinks ahead, and handles things when they change.
None of that is particularly glamorous.
All of it matters on a wedding day.
We have watched this team manage full wedding weekends, open houses with hundreds of guests, vendor showcases, changing timelines, and all of the small things happening behind the scenes while everyone else is looking at the view.
The couple should never have to see most of that.
They should just feel like the day worked.
Villa Antonia has also supported PhotoHouse Films in ways we do not take lightly. They have trusted us with their couples, sent business our way, brought us into their events, asked for our input on the property, and included us in moments that mattered to their team and family.
That kind of relationship is not built from one good wedding. It comes from years of watching each other work and continuing to show up for each other.
We are proud to be one of Villa Antonia's longtime vendor partners. But if you asked us what matters more, it is the friendship behind it.
We just consider Villa home.
If Villa Antonia is on your list, we would tell you to book it whether or not you ever call us.

through the eyes of PhotoHouse Films
The Wine Cellar Dining is where the day really shifts into celebration. The stone walls, tall windows, and warm interior already give the room plenty of character, so it never needs much from us to photograph well. During dinner, we can capture the room as a whole along with all of the details that went into it. Later, once everyone is on the dance floor, the same space feels completely different. That change in energy is one of our favorite parts of photographing a reception here.
The Bridal Terrace Observation Tower is one of those Villa Antonia details you recognize immediately. It gives us a strong backdrop for portraits while still feeling connected to the rest of the property and the Hill Country around it. We can photograph it wide when we want the architecture to be part of the story, or move in closer and let it sit quietly in the background. Depending on the time of day, the changing light gives us several different ways to use the same space without every portrait looking alike.
The Waterfall Grotto Staircase is a great place to step away from the bigger views for something a little quieter. The stone, greenery, and different levels give us several ways to photograph a couple without having to move far from everything happening around them. It is especially useful when the wedding day is moving quickly and we only have a few minutes for portraits. We can get a completely different look here without taking the couple away from their guests for a long stretch of time.
The Staircase Atrium gives us a different perspective on Villa Antonia and a chance to slow things down for a few minutes. From here, we can bring some of the architecture and Hill Country surroundings into the frame while still keeping the couple at the center of it. It is also one of those spaces that can feel completely different depending on the time of day, which gives us options when we are planning portraits around the timeline rather than forcing the timeline around the photos.
The Chapel Terrace really comes together once the tables are set and guests begin to fill the space. The surrounding architecture and open air give us room to photograph the full reception setup, but we can also move through the tables and capture the smaller details and interactions happening throughout dinner. As the light changes and the evening settles in, the space starts to feel less like a setup and more like the celebration itself. That is usually when some of our favorite candid moments start happening.

A photograph holds what the day looked like. It cannot hold your father's voice breaking halfway through the toast, or the fifteen seconds before the doors opened when nobody was talking yet.
